Western Union launches digital services in the UAE

Western Union offers digital service via in over 60 countries and territories, while the mobile application is available in 35 countries.

Western Union has partnered with UAE-based Al Fardan Exchange to launch its digital services, and the Western Union mobile application.

The digital services will allow the company’s customers in the UAE to transfer money anywhere

 around the world digitally with the choice to pay for transactions online or within the mobile app via direct transfers from their bank accounts set up in the UAE.

Hikmet Erset, the President and CEO of Western Union, said, “The digital services unveiled today in the UAE will ever aspire upward along with the aspirations of the customers we serve locally and globally.”

“The UAE launch is aligned with this vision of the country, one that is staying on the edge of innovation to make a better life for all its people,” said Osama Al Rahma, the CEO of Al Fardan Exchange.

In the Middle East, Western Union is offering online services in Bahrain, Jordan as well as Kuwait, Lebanon and Oman.
